Wall Insulation Cost in Toronto & the GTA
Existing walls are insulated by injection through small openings; new or opened walls are filled conventionally. Indicative market ranges below — cavity depth and wall construction decide what is actually possible.
The ranges on this page are market ranges for the Greater Toronto Area, collected for orientation. They are not a quote, they are not our price list, and they can be out of date. Your price comes from an on-site inspection and is given to you in writing before anything starts.

What moves the number
Exterior finish
Brick, stucco, vinyl and board each take different time to open and close.
Cavity depth
A shallow cavity limits achievable R-value regardless of the material used.
Solid masonry sections
These cannot be injected at all and need a different approach — or none.
Existing settled material
Partially filled cavities can often be densified rather than emptied.
Obstructions
Wiring, plumbing and fire blocking split cavities and add injection points.

Timing affects the price
Across the GTA, insulation work has been reported as cheapest from late March through May and from mid-September through October, when demand drops. January and February have been reported as the most expensive months, running 15 – 25% above the annual average because of emergency calls. If your project can wait for a shoulder season, it is worth asking.

Do you have to open the walls?
No. Dense-pack injection works through small openings that are patched afterwards.
Will it help with noise?
Yes, noticeably. Dense material in the cavity is one of the few insulation measures people hear as well as feel.
How do I know if my cavity is empty?
We check density during the assessment. Assuming it is full because the house looks modern is the common mistake.
